Excel tips for Audiences: How to convert dates into the universal date format in Excel

When uploading data into Movement, you will need to ensure that any dates are in the universal date format YYYY-MM-DD in your CSV file.

Step 1: Identify the column(s) in your CSV with dates

Step 2: Right-click the top of the column and select Format Cells

Step 3: Under the Number tab, select Date in the Category box. Select the universal date format YYYY-MM-DD in the Type box on the right and click OK.

Step 4: The dates will then convert into the universal date format. Save your file and upload the data into Movement
