How to set-up an approval system for campaign sends
As admins, you have the option to set up an approval system for campaign sends on Movement. This would mean that users with certain roles need to get approval for campaigns before they are sent out to members.
How to set-up an approval system for campaign sends:
Determine the audience size threshold for approving campaign sends
Set-up user roles and configure the approval permissions
1. Determine the audience size threshold for approving campaign sends
You can require approval for all campaign sends or can set an audience size above which sends are required to be approved.
If you would like users to be able to send smaller campaigns of a certain size, then you should set an audience size threshold and toggle the Send, launch and approve small campaigns permission (see next step below). An example for when this might be useful is to allow reps to send emails to branch members while moderating their ability to send emails nationally. To set the threshold for approval, email support@movement.industires.
2. Set-up user roles and configure the approval permissions
You can create, edit and customise roles and permissions under Manage roles in settings. Read more about the process in our step-by-step user role and permissions guide.
Once you have set-up your roles, you can configure the relevant permissions. Click on your newly created role and scroll down to the Campaigns section. There are are two approval settings you can toggle:
Send, launch and approve campaigns: this permission allows role holders to send all campaigns and approve campaigns for themselves and users that don’t have this permission.
Send, launch and approve small campaigns: this permission allows the role holder to send campaigns under the approval threshold and any over will be sent for approval.

Once you have selected your permissions, remember to click save at the bottom of the page.
Note: Approvals can be made by users in the same organisation as the campaign creator with the correct permission. Read more about how organisations work in Movement here.
Finally, once you have configured your desired permissions, the users with the Send, launch and approve campaigns permission will have access to the Awaiting approval tab to approve or reject campaigns.
