WhatsApp Compliance
Compliance: KYC verification
Before we can buy your WhatsApp phone number and move forward with the next steps of WhatsApp onboarding, you’ll need to verify details about your organisation and submit documents to get KYC verification. This is a requirement for all UK phone numbers. Any member of your team with 'Super Admin' access can do this via a form within Movement in:
Settings > Account Setup > Phone setup and compliance

What to submit
Even though you're only using mobile numbers in WhatsApp, please submit information for both mobile and local numbers as it makes the onboarding process smoother. It's the same information for both, so you can copy across.
Documents needed
Registered business:
You will be asked to provide your business registration number and the excerpt from the commercial register for your business.
Registered charity:
Where it requests business registration number provide your charity number and where they ask for excerpt of the commercial register provide excerpt of the charity register
Trade union or other:
The business registration identifier should be selected "OTHER" and registration number field N/A."
In the place of the except of the commercial register submit a letter with the letterhead showing the name and address of the institution accompanied with the signature of the legal representative. This can be anyone senior in the organisation, if possible someone who is publicly identified on your website.
Suggested letter body:
"I [X person holding Y role] confirm that GMB NEYH is a [type of legal entity] registered and operating at [address that matches letterhead]"
Signed [X person]
It only takes a few minutes to complete the form. Let your account manager know when you’ve completed the compliance step.
