Cookies & cookie consents
Movement doesn't require a cookie consent banner for basic use on your pages, as we only use essential cookies that fall outside the EU privacy directive requirements.
When do I need a cookie consent banner?
You'll only need to add a cookie consent banner if you're storing additional cookies beyond our essential ones. Common examples include:
- Google Analytics tracking
- Marketing pixels
- Third-party advertising scripts
- Social media embeds that store cookies
How to add cookie consent
If you do need to show a cookie consent banner, you can configure and add one when creating or editing your page templates:
- Go to your page template and click Edit
- Locate the 'Head HTML' section in the Template tab
- Add both your cookie consent script and any additional tracking scripts (such as Google Analytics) in this section
- Save your changes
The cookie consent banner will then appear on all pages using that template, allowing visitors to manage their cookie preferences before any non-essential cookies are set.
Need help?
If you're unsure whether your additional scripts require cookie consent, we recommend checking the specific requirements for your region and the types of cookies being set by your third-party tools. If you are not adding any tracking scripts, you do not need a cookie consent ask.
