How to top up in Movement
Movement credit is paid in advance, to cover upcoming sends. If you do not have enough credit to cover the expected cost of a send, you may not be able to launch the campaign until you’ve topped up.
There are two options for adding credit to your account:
- Pay by credit card: Usage credit will immediately be available to use in Movement when the payment is processed
- Issue and download an invoice: You can download an invoice to share with your finance team. As soon as the payment reaches Movement, usage credit will be available.
Your remaining budget is displayed in the top right of your Movement account, next to your notifications:

Within each campaign build, you'll get an estimated cost for the send so you know ahead of time roughly how much it'll cost:

Tip: Make sure to target campaigns effectively so you're getting the most from your budget using the wide range of audience filters available in Movement! For example, you might want to exclude people from a text campaign if they don't engage with texts and use the same engagement filters to meet them where they are instead, perhaps on email or WhatsApp. You can use Automations to help with this too!
To top up by credit card or invoice, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select Budget
Select Budget on the top right of your Movement account, which will take you to a budget overview page:

Step 2: Select Top up
Under Current Balance, select the Top up button, then a pop-up box will appear that will prompt you to select the type of top-up you would like:


Step 3: Select your preferred way to top up
Select either credit card or invoice and follow the relevant steps below:
Credit card top up:

Enter the amount of credit you wish to top up. This is the amount of credit you wish to receive, any applicable taxes, such as VAT, will be added at the checkout stage.

Select if you would like to checkout in GBP or USD - credit and usage charges in Movement are in USD but you can choose whether to pay for credit in USD or GBP. The minimum top up is $10.

Pay for your top up amount and any taxes. The credit will be available to use as soon as the payment is processed. Payments made in GDP will be converted to USD for usage credit in Movement.

Invoice top up:

Select either GBP or USD and enter the amount of credit you wish to top up.

Select Issue Invoice, which will automatically download the invoice as a PDF for you to send to your finance team. Credit will be available to use as soon as payment is received. Payments made in GDP will be converted to USD for usage credit in Movement.
